Welcome To Old Bexley CE Primary School
We are a popular, happy, Anglican Christian Primary School which has the highest aspirations for all the children. Our community is unique with a "family" feel that nurtures and cares for everyone who is part of it. Love God, Love Each Other, Love Learning is the focus of our school, alongside the spiritual growth of each individual. We are dedicated to ensuring that all children flourish and are inspired every day to reach their full potential. Our staff are enthusiastic, creative and committed to making sure everyone feels valued, respected and safe.
We currently have 615 children in our school ranging from 3 to 11 years old.
We are proud to be part of the Amadeus Primary Academies Trust and work closely with the other schools in the Trust to provide limitless learning for all.
Mrs Jill Ivil, Principal
"Old Bexley Church of England Primary School is a place of peace, enduring kindness and instinctive acceptance of all. The lives of those who attend and are connected to the school are richer and transformed because of the time spent learning and living together." (SIAMS Inspection Report, February 2023)
Governance
At Amadeus, our mission is to deliver the very best education for every child. To achieve this, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join the Local Governing Board (LGB) of one of our schools within our Multi-Academy Trust.
Our LGBs play a vital role in:
• SEND and Inclusion .
• Safeguarding
• Standards
• Stakeholders
This is a rewarding opportunity to use your experience, passion, and perspective to make a meaningful difference. You do not need to have worked in education before — we value a wide range of skills and backgrounds. Training and ongoing support are provided to help you succeed in the role.
If you are interested in learning more about becoming a governor within our Trust, please email clerk@apat.org.uk.
We are looking to increase the Local Governing Bodies at:
Castilion (Thamesmead, SE28 8QA),
Hillsgrove (Welling, DA16 1DR) and
St Paul's Cray (Orpington, BR5 3WD).
Thank you for considering this opportunity to help shape the future of our schools and support the children and families we serve.
Warm regards,
Peter Rhodes
Summer term
I hope you have had a restful and restorative break, and that you have been able to enjoy some well-deserved time to recharge.
As we prepare to welcome our pupils back on Monday, I would like to take a moment to thank you for your continued dedication, care, and professionalism. The impact you have across our schools and communities is profound, and it is through your collective efforts that our children are able to thrive and succeed.
The Summer term is always a significant and rewarding part of the academic year. It brings with it a strong sense of momentum, reflection, and achievement—whether through the progress our pupils make, key milestones reached, or the many opportunities for enrichment, celebration, and transition. I know that, as always, you will approach the term with the same commitment and passion that defines our Trust.
Warm regards
Peter Rhodes
